Student Co-op Opportunities

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) is proud to partner with universities and colleges across Canada that offer programs connected to our business.

CNL student initiatives have immediate and long-term benefits for our company, for the nuclear industry and for Canada’s science and technology community as we help support, develop and inspire highly qualified people. As a student at the Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI) you will get hands-on experience that may help you make decisions about your career.

Co-op and Summer Student Positions

PHAI student positions provide excellent training and experience directly related to your college or university program. Positions are temporary (4, 8, 12 or 16-month placements) and are available to students currently enrolled in a full-time program at a recognized college or university. You must be planning to return to school after your work term or completing your final, pre-graduation work-term requirements to qualify.

Your application must be submitted online and only for student positions that are currently posted on this website.

High School Co-op Positions

We offer temporary positions aimed at giving local high school students work experience in various disciplines as part of their career selection process. You must be registered with a recognized co-op program as part of your studies at high school and work with your school’s Co-op Coordinator to connect with us.
