GM’s Update to Municipality of Clarington Council

Craig_MoC_2017_06General Manager Craig Hebert of the Historic Waste Program Management Office delivered his annual update on the Port Granby Project to the Municipality of Clarington General Government Committee on June 19. Hebert highlighted the significant progress made on the project since waste movement began in November 2016. To date, approximately 30% of the estimated 450,000 m3 of historic low-level radioactive waste has been excavated from the existing site on the shoreline of Lake Ontario and transported along an internal haul route to the new long-term waste management facility about 700 m north of the lake.
