After the Port Granby Project is Finished

Through community involvement, a naturalized landscape end-use design was developed for both the long-term waste management facility and the restored, existing facility.

The concept, which calls for the aboveground mound to be shaped to resemble a natural landform and tilted to mimic existing drumlins in the area, has been incorporated into the design for the mound.  After the waste is removed from the existing site, the site will be restored and returned to a natural state.
