NOTICE OF UPCOMING WORK – Bruton Lane

As part of the Port Hope Area Initiative, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) will be performing fieldwork in Bruton Lane off of Julia Street.

To facilitate the safe excavation, truck loading and transportation of low-level radioactive waste (LLRW) in the eastern section of Bruton Lane, there will be a lane reduction followed by a full closure from September 2024 through January 2025.

The section of laneway will not be open to any traffic except emergency vehicles during this period. CNL will work with abutting owners impacted by this work.

Please be careful when travelling in the area and obey all posted signage.

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is committed to the safety of the public, its workers and the environment while undertaking this community-requested solution to a longstanding environmental issue.
