The Port Hope Project schedule shows the expected timing and duration of all major project activities. The schedule was updated in fall 2022 to account for the increase in the number of residential properties identified by Property Radiological Survey as requiring remediation to meet PHAI Clean-up Criteria.
The schedule will be updated to reflect notable changes, if any, as the work progresses.
Budget
In 2012, the Government of Canada committed funding of $1.28 billion for the Port Hope Area Initiative. In 2022, that commitment was increased to $2.6B to carry the project through to completion, including long-term monitoring.
