As part of Port Hope Area Initiative activities, CNL contractors will be performing field work on Caroline Street in the municipal road allowance and on municipal property, 32 Caroline Street (Caroline Street Park), starting this month (April 2026).
To facilitate the safe excavation, truck loading and transportation of low-level radioactive waste, there will be intermittent sidewalk closure during working hours only. There are no road closures planned, though lane closures are possible during working hours. The parking lot at 32 Caroline Street will be closed for the duration of the work.
Flaggers will assist with traffic control when necessary. Please be careful when travelling in the area and obey all posted signage.
