As part of the Port Hope Area Initiative, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories continues to perform fieldwork on the Percy Street road allowance in the Municipality of Port Hope.
To facilitate the safe excavation, truck loading and transportation of low-level radioactive waste, a full road closure on Percy Street has been extended to mid-February 2025.
The road will remain closed any traffic except emergency vehicles during this period. Please be careful when traveling in the area and obey all posted signage.
Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is committed to the safety of the public, its workers and the environment while undertaking this community-requested solution to a longstanding environmental issue.
