As part of Port Hope Area Initiative activities, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is undertaking work on road allowances in the Municipality of Port Hope (see map).
Some of the work completed may come in close proximity to private property lines. You may see the following:
- Utility locating
- Borehole marking and sampling
- Traffic control enclosures
- Radiation detection and survey equipment used
The work is expected to be performed beginning January 2026 and continue through into the fall.
No road closures are expected, however there may be temporary lane closures in the area. Please obey any posted signage.
