NOTICE OF WORK – Port Hope Harbour & Centre Pier

Port Hope Area Initiative work continues at the Port Hope Harbour and Centre Pier this construction season.

Mechanical dredging is expected to resume in the turning basin in June, with hydraulic dredging slated for later this season.

The area includes restrictions to ensure continued public safety. Members of the public are reminded that there is no access to the Centre Pier, including walking paths as well as no access to the footbridge that connects Mill Street to the Centre Pier.

Anglers and other users are encouraged to continue accessing the Ganaraska River and Lake Ontario from the Mill Street side of the river.

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is committed to the safety of the public, its workers and the environment while undertaking this community-recommended solution to a longstanding environmental issue.
