PHAI Webinar to focus on Licence Renewal Process

Join CNL to learn more about the renewal process for the Port Hope Project Waste Nuclear Substance Licence. The current licence issued by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) will expire on December 31, 2022.  In order to continue PHAI cleanup activities, CNL is requesting a renewal of this licence for a 10 year period. In addition, CNL is requesting the consolidation of four licences associated with the Port Hope Area Initiative; including the Port Granby Project, The Port Hope Pine Street Extension Temporary Storage Site and the Port Hope Radioactive Waste Management Facility.

Residents, stakeholder groups and members of the public are invited to participate in the virtual session on Thursday, June 23 beginning at 6pm. The presentation will include an update on PHAI activities and will be followed by a question and answer period. Register as soon as possible.
