Port Granby Project Citizen Liaison Group welcomes two new members

On April 24 new members Susan Clearwater and Gordon Whealy joined four returning members of the Port Granby Citizen Liaison Group (CLG) for their first meeting of 2018. The volunteer group will meet twice this year to provide the PHAI with community perspectives on the cleanup and safe long-term management of historic low-level radioactive waste in Port Granby.

“The CLG continues to be a valuable element of the PHAI’s Public Information Program; they share project information with the public and provide input and ideas to benefit our communications with Port Granby residents and the surrounding community,” said Alex Mahabir, PHAI Manager, Communications. “As remediation continues at the Port Granby site, we look forward to working with this diverse group of individuals to ensure we maintain ongoing dialogue with the community.”
