Port Granby Project licence extension granted

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) has approved the request for a one-year renewal of the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) waste nuclear substance licence for the Port Granby Project.CNL submitted an application for the licence extension to facilitate the closure of the storage mound and demobilization of infrastructure at the Clarington site. The licence for the Port Granby Project is now valid until December 31, 2022.
