PUBLIC STATEMENT – Vehicle Collision

Port Hope, June 15, 2022 – Yesterday, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) was made aware of a traffic accident near Port Hope, involving a truck being used by a contractor to provide clean fill to the Port Hope Area Initiative cleanup project.

CNL remains committed to the safety of the public, its workers and the environment during its activities, and is conducting an internal review of the incident.

“Our primary concern is for the safety and well-being of those involved in the accident. We understand that the driver of the car is recovering, and the dump truck driver has minor injuries. Our thoughts are with them and their respective families for a full recovery” said Joe McBrearty, President and CEO, CNL.
