CNL contractors are undertaking construction work throughout various neighbourhoods at residential properties where historic low-level radioactive waste has been identified.
During this work – which will commence in spring 2023 – you may see and/or hear:
- Installation of construction fencing around the properties and placement of a construction trailer in the vicinity
- Site preparations including tree clearing/chipping and removal of patio stones, interlocking brick and other hardscape material
- Removal and/or demolition of sheds, decks, outbuildings and fencing
- Excavation of soil from yards and backfilling with clean soil
No road closures are expected; however, there may be temporary lane closures in the construction area. Dust monitoring and noise monitoring is in place for the duration of the work.
