As part of the Port Hope Area Initiative, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories will be performing fieldwork on the Harris Street road allowance in the Municipality of Port Hope.
To facilitate the safe excavation, truck loading and transportation of low-level radioactive waste, there will be a full road closure performed in stages on Harris Street beginning 2024 February 19 through 2024 April 30. Work will begin at the west end of Harris, beginning at Hay Street moving east to Catherine Street.
The road will not be open to any traffic except emergency vehicles during this period.
Please be careful when traveling in the area and obey all posted signage.
