PHAI MO shares expertise at UOIT panel

UOIT Smart Communities Forum 2016 May 5 (1)Senior Technical Advisor Glenn Case recently participated in a panel discussion at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa. The theme of the forum was the Future of Smart Communities, and panel participants discussed what energy will look like given today’s realities of pressures on the environment related to population growth and the capacity of municipal governments to deliver public services. Case described how the community-based concepts for addressing the issue of historic low-level radioactive waste in Port Hope and Port Granby matured into tangible projects now in the construction phase in both communities.
