CNL applies for CNSC licence extension

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) has applied to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) for a one-year extension to the current Port Granby Project Waste Nuclear Substance Licence WNSL-W1-23311.02/2021.

The Commission will conduct a hearing in writing in summer 2021 to consider the request. Members of the public are invited to participate by submitting requests to intervene. The deadline for submitting a request is May 27, 2021.

The current Port Granby Project licence is available for review on request at info@phai.ca.

The CNSC provides Participant Funding Program to assist Indigenous peoples, members of the public and stakeholders in reviewing CNL’s application. The deadline to submit a completed participant funding application form to the CNSC is March 1, 2021.
