During regular haulage of soil to the Port Hope Long Term Waste Management Facility (LTWMF), a truck working on the Port Hope Area Initiative slid into the ditch while driving on the 401 westbound. The truck was tarped with the load secured. No spillage occurred.
The driver was not injured and immediately notified emergency services. The truck slipped off the road into the ditch as it was merging onto the 401 at Ontario Street, Port Hope. Emergency responders attended the site, and the vehicle was removed from the ditch. The truck then proceeded to the Port Hope LTWMF.
CNL notified the appropriate regulatory agencies, as well as the Municipality of Port Hope.
