Waste excavated at the Port Granby Legacy Waste Management Site travelled through a temporary underpass below Lakeshore Road along a dedicated access road to the Long-Term Waste Management Facility. Trucks carrying waste did NOT travel on public roadways.
Clean construction material travels along a designated transportation route (Highway 401, south along Newtonville Road, east along Concession Road 1 and south on Elliott Road to the site). Elliott Road has been reconstructed to accommodate this use.
